The meeting served as an important opportunity to strengthen cultural ties and deepen cooperation through the shared values of dialogue, creativity, and international engagement.

The discussions focused on the growing importance of public and cultural diplomacy in building stronger relationships between nations and communities. Both sides explored opportunities to encourage the active participation of Croatian youth delegates, filmmakers, actors, cultural professionals, and public universities in the upcoming Films Diplomacy Conference 2026 (FDC'26) in Istanbul. The conversation also highlighted the role of cinema as a powerful medium for fostering intercultural understanding, promoting collaboration, and empowering the next generation of global citizens.

The meeting reflected a shared commitment to strengthening international partnerships through culture and storytelling. Films Diplomacy extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Ivana Zerec and the Consulate General of the Republic of Croatia for their warm hospitality, valuable perspectives, and continued support for initiatives that advance dialogue, cultural exchange, and peace through the universal language of film.
